About Me

Alexa Carr Busnot is a graduate from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a B.F.A. in Design and Production with a concentration in Scenic Painting. She was awarded the USITT Master Craftsmanship Award in the spring of 2014 for excellence in Scenic Art.

Alexa has made her home in Orlando, Florida and has expanded her career from Theatre to Theming, Murals, and Rockwork for Amusement Parks, Zoos and other attractions. She has worked at Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Disney's Magic Kingdom; Ft. Lauderdale's Gulfstream Park and The Miami Zoo, as a Scenic Artist, Craftsman and Carver. Alexa revisits her love for Theatre by spending two months out of the year as the Charge Scenic Artist for Oberlin College's Study abroad program in Arezzo, Toscana, Italy. 

Alexa is a passionate leader and a first-rate team member. Her mantra is “pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work”, and she fully embraces this philosophy as a freelance Scenic Artist and young professional. Alexa aimes to produce work at the highest quality with emphasis on finding the most productive solutions and techniques to fit the job. She is willing to travel, passport ready and eager to jump into her next exciting adventure.
